Abstract |
Peter Thomson is Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of York
An afternoon of informative entertainment for the whole family to enjoy (and learn from!).
Prof Thomson presents a variety of examples of how our eyes can deceive us and also explains why. There are plenty of demonstrations - some common optical illusions and some novel ones. See colours, differences and movements that aren't there. Confuse your eyes and then learn that these tricks show us how clever our brain is at interpreting the world. |
