Abstract |
The York Glaziers’ Trust is one of Britain’s oldest stained glass conservation workshops and its work on York Minster is renowned throughout Europe. In 2009 the Trust opened its Bedern Glaziers’ Studio in the 13th century chapel of the College of Vicars Choral as a public showcase for its work, particularly on the glass of the Minster’s Great East Window.
We shall have a tour by a conservator, be able to watch the glaziers at work and see how the glass is cleaned and re-leaded. The visit will last approximately 1 hour.
