| Science City York |
Science City York was established in 1998 as a partnership between the University of York and City of York Council, with significant involvement from local businesses and subsequent support from Yorkshire Forward, the Regional Development Agency for Yorkshire and the Humber. York itself was designated the UK's first National Science City in 2005.
The company's principal role is to promote York and North Yorkshire's knowledge-based economy by supporting the creation and growth of technology-based businesses. |
