The Yorkshire Philosophical Society has a long history of association with numerous scientific organizations in the United Kingdom and overseas.
In particular, The Yorkshire Philosophical Society is affiliated to the British Science Association (Formerly The British Association for the Advancement of Science).
Many of the lectures each year are regularly organised in collaboration with various local and national societies. Other local societies and organisations in the region are also involved in the lecture series from time to time.
There are many other organisations and institutions around the country and internationally which are dedicated to the promotion of scientific and historical subjects.
Within the YPS, there are a number of specilaist interest groups.
