The Yorkshire Philosophical Society publishes an Annual report, detailing its activities of the past twelve months and including the annual financial statement.

A print copy is sent to all members in spring each year in advance of the Annual General Meeting.

Contributions wanted

WE need you YOU to be the authors for articles and reports for the YPS website and Annual Report.

If you have an interest in any of the following Yorkshire scientists
 and would like to contribute a lively article of some 500 - 800 words under the series heading
 “Did you know that ...?”  for the YPS website and possibly for the YPS Annual Report, please see Ken Hutson or Dr Avijit Datta after the lecture at the YPS reception desk (editor@yorksphilsoc.org.uk ):

John Phillips FRS  (Keeper of Yorkshire Museum)
Joseph Priestlley  (Discoverer of  Oxygen)
Smithson Tennant FRS  ( Discoverer of Osmium, Iridium)
John Snow  (Epidemiologist , Anaesthesia)
Martin Lister FRS (Conchologist and Geographical topographer)
Silvanus Thompson FRS  (Electrical Engineering, Roentgologist)
John Goodricke,  (Astronomer)
......... or  any other Yorkshire scientist or innovator about whom you have a story to tell.............
